Substituting an object

View Principles overview

Within a Conversation

With the exception of inputs, you should never use substitution within a Conversation.

However you will use '@' & in certain situations 'do-ID' as shown;

*input, @input-address
*input, do-ID+{input_name}

Within a Library

Libraries are where substitution and object management can become unwieldy, so lets examine the simplest & most frequently used.

To rewrite the value 'X' from the Conversation to 'itm_0' we'll use the following;

itm_0; {X}

This technique is used, to enable one attribute within a Conversation to be interpreted independently by more than one Library.

itm_0; {X}
